Start with a reviewed Word output pack, then decide whether selected SharePoint or OneDrive folders and the controlled Outlook add-in should be enabled. Direct document management system connections remain planned.
Connecting Microsoft 365 is optional and controlled by the firm. Mike AI does not receive organisation-wide access, read every mailbox or send client email as part of standard setup.

Download a Word-ready pack that carries review status, source references and clear warnings for unresolved items.
What the firm needs to decide
- Choose the matter and output pack in Mike AI.
- Resolve or acknowledge any review warnings before external use.
- A reviewer approves the final version before it leaves the firm.
Protections
- Unresolved higher-risk items keep the output locked.
- The pack records its reviewer and version.
- Downloading a DOCX file does not require Microsoft 365 access.
Option 2 · Firm administrator
Selected SharePoint or OneDrive folders
Keep matter documents in firm-owned Microsoft storage while allowing Mike AI to use only the folders the firm selects.
What the firm needs to decide
- The firm chooses the workspace, practice area and folders in scope.
- An authorised administrator approves access for the selected sources.
- The firm confirms who may use those sources inside Mike AI.
Protections
- Access is limited to firm-selected sources and authorised users.
- Private document bodies are not retained by Mike AI by default.
- The firm can remove source access without changing its document filing structure.
Option 3 · Firm administrator and matter reviewer
Outlook-assisted evidence intake
Select a received email, link bounded metadata to a matter and place it into firm review without storing its body or sending a message.
What the firm needs to decide
- A firm administrator approves and assigns the Outlook add-in to the intended users.
- Each user signs in through the tenant-scoped Office host and selects individual messages.
- The firm confirms the reviewer path for quarantined references.
Protections
- Only hashes, sender domain, received time and matter/source references are recorded.
- Mailbox-wide reading, message-body storage and client email sending are not enabled.
- Selected evidence remains subject to matter access and reviewer controls.
Option 4 · Firm IT and information governance
iManage and NetDocuments connections
Direct connections to iManage and NetDocuments are not currently available.
What the firm needs to decide
- Any future connection would require firm approval and a defined document scope.
- Access, retention and removal responsibilities would be agreed before use.
- No delivery date is committed on this page.
Protections
- Planned capabilities are not sold or presented as available.
- Existing document permissions would remain authoritative.
- No document write-back would be enabled without separate firm approval.

Start with the available Word output. Connect selected Microsoft folders only when the firm is ready and the right people have approved access.
